Meet our Family of Things
In the '80s, a Spanish terracotta pot found love with a Dutch flower in an unexpected greenhouse encounter. This love story gave birth to something extraordinary—the POLSPOTTEN Family of Things. Get to know our eccentric relatives who travelled from around the world to meet each other.
Meet the flamboyant souls from the South, like Crazy, who kickstart every party. Dragon adds a touch of ancient mystery. Then there's Coral, the timeless fashionista, and Relief, the spirited teenager with bold refinement that swings from mood to mood. Experience the youthful energy of Zig Zag's eclectic charm. Or marvel at Drip, that can be a bit of a drama queen. Lastly, meet the wise Grandpa, effortlessly juggling sophistication and charm.
Some have been with us for decades, others just joined the family. Yet, here's the real magic—regardless of their origins, they all share one noble aim: to add play to space.
And now, they’re all brought together for a family portrait.

Crazy knows how to start a party
In the POLSPOTTEN family of things, Crazy is the one who knows how to start the party. Our most glamorous relative comes to life when the sun goes down and the music is turned up. By day, she brings elegance and dazzle to each room with her curvaceous Base in gorgeous glazed porcelain, hand finished in the Chinese heartland of ceramics. Her illuminating presence is topped with a Lampshade made from the softest velvet, dyed a deep shade of blue. Crazy Lamp is here to turn heads and get the party going.
Zig Zag is the Bouncy one
In the POLSPOTTEN family of things, Zig Zag is the one bouncing with youthful energy. There is nobody in our family who puts on so many different faces, delighting everyone in his orbit. One moment he’s a stool, the next he’s a side table or a pedestal. His glossy, lacquered coat comes in a spectrum of gorgeous colors, allowing Zig Zag to slot into every style and space. Here’s a fun, sturdy friend that’s easy on the eye and never lets you down. Once Zig Zag hops into your place, you know the game is on.Grandpa loves to juggle
In the POLSPOTTEN family of things, Grandpa is the one who loves to juggle. His age may make him jittery, not a drop is spilled. Here’s a sophisticated gentleman who walzes through life and pours love into each moment of the day. You’ll often find him dancing with a string of doting relatives in his wake. The cups and saucers he spurred may be made of the same precious porcelain, nobody can match Grandpa’s golden top. In tearooms, suites and pantries around the world, he may be greeted as the grandest of old friends. But for us, he’s just Grandpa.
Swinging from mood to mood: Relief
In the POLSPOTTEN family of things, Relief is the one swinging from mood to mood. With a body hand blown in colorful glass, you know you’re dealing with a unique individual. This spirited teenager can go from chilled to upbeat in an instant, always keeping the adults in the room on their toes. Relief represents the next generation with a design that takes subtle style cues from the past. He has Brutalism running through his veins, the architectural movement that inspired designer Norman Trapman. Bold, sturdy yet surprisingly refined: here’s a vase showing his true colors.
